Technology can be fun!!

We used iPads to scan QR codes in order to review our nonfiction vocabulary during our Native American Unit.

Archaeologist comes to speak to us about his job.

The archaeologist brought artifacts found right here in Alabama!  Some were from the Paleo and Archaic Prehistoric period!!  We were able to touch some of them!!

Other artifacts were from the archaeological dig in Trussville before the new stadium was built!!

Mock Archaeological Dig

We brought in artifacts from various sites here in Trussville. We then buried them so that archaeologists in the future would be able to identify the site.  We then tried to determine what the artifacts represented as if we were future archaeologists.

Tellagami !!!

We created avatars and made videos by recording our voices as we told about the hardships  during the Trail of Tears!!

Fables Study 2015

Ask about some of the fables we've read-- I wonder what happened to the Grasshopper and the Ants!  Some themes showed us that it is better to put first things first!!

Tannehill Field Trip

We had a great time leaning more about Tannehill and what it was like during the Civil War. It helped produce iron that was used to make weapons and ammunition. We also saw what school was like for students in those days.
